How to Stretch Shoes That Are Too Tight (Quick and Effective)

Don’t you hate it while you get the perfect pair of shoes just to discover that they are too tight on your feet? Certainly, they did seem to fit while you tried them on at the department store, simply after wearing them for a few hours, you understand that they are actually uncomfortably tight. This does happen. If you can’t return the shoes—or don’t want to—there are ways you can stretch them out to fit.

Here are some fast ways on how to stretch shoes:

Wear your shoes around the house

Freeze your shoes

Water increases as it freezes, freezing your shoes too expands them.

All you have to do is fill a sandwich bag for each foot with water of 1/4th full. Insert the bags up into your shoes, stick them in the freezer and leave them there till the water freezes. Once it does, admit it to thaw, take out the bags and try on your shoes. If one round of freezing doesn’t do the trick, attempt a second time. This method can be a little tricky, as you will need to make assured the water doesn’t leak while putting inside the shoe.

Heat your shoes

Besides freezing shoes, heating shoes that are too uncomfortable is another option. To do this, put on some solid socks and then your shoes. Get out the hairdryer, put it on high heat, and heat the shoe in the areas wherever it is tight. As you do this, flex your feet, bending your toes back and forth to move the shoe element as much as you can. This method doesn’t sound very suitable but it works.

Use simple shoe stretching tools

An option of stretching out the shoes with your own feet is to include other items in your tight pair of shoes. Try over-stuffing stockings into the shoes or crumpled up newspaper.
